Ships
= Relationships and this page is a short little informational blurb
about the ships that focus around Alice Pieszecki and just where the
fanfic you've written or are about to write would fit on our little
site. Now lets get started on this blurb!
DANISH:
Dana and Alice. The biggest of all the Alice ships and the one that
faced the most painful end. Dana and Alice were each other's closest
friends for many years before they fell in love with one another and
for a short while they seemed to have the perfect relationship. It fell
apart due to insecurities and a sudden lack of communication, something
that was present constantly throughout the length of their friendship.
They seemed to be finding their way back to each other in Season Three
but Dana's tragic death from cancer ended any chances of romantic reunion.
At least everywhere but in fanfic! We sincerely encourage Danish fans
to keep writing fanfic for the couple because we love reading it. Whether
you want to ignore Dana's bout with cancer or simply have her survive
and rebuild her romance with Alice, we're all for it. This is a wonderful
couple that was given an unjust end.
HELACIOUS:
Helena and Alice. When all of her other friends seemed to abandon her
because of frustration at Alice's inability to get over Dana and her
slow descent in something resembling insanity it was Helena who remained
at her side. How they became friends was never clearly revealed on the
show and is definitely up for fanfic interpretation but by the start
of Season Three we saw Helena as Alice's one source of support and love.
Encouraging Alice to attend support group sessions, hiring a maid to
clean her messy apartment, and supervising the destruction of the shrine
to Dana and the humorous return of the Danish sex toys in The Planet.
Helena was even game to do internet research for Alice after she became
suspicious that her recent sex partner, Uta, might actually be a vampire.
Helacious make great friends and perhaps even greater lovers. Season
Three left Alice and Helena heart broken over the loss of Dana and the
betrayal of Dylan, their lives in upheaval with Alice involved in a
clandestine relationship with Lara and Helena without her fortune. Helacious
might again find each other as the only source of support and fall in
love with one another as a result.
LACE:
Lara and Alice. This is something that most people didn't ever see coming.
The death of Dana left both Alice and Lara in emotional tatters and
through each other they find the only solace and understanding about
precisely what it's like to lose her. Their relationship appears to
be one of comfort and sadness. Whether or not they can move beyond the
loss of Dana and begin loving each other not for how Dana saw them but
how they see one another is something that we don't yet know. But certainly
you can write that fascinating and complex journey for yourself in fanfic.
We definitely encourage you to do so and send it our way.
GALORE:
Gabby and Alice. The original ship for Alice and one that unfortunately
has next to no fanfic for it. Gabby Deveaux, whose name is reacted with
disdain by Shane each time she hears it, is Alice's longtime on and
off girlfriend whom Alice can't seem to rid herself of. Something about
Gabby draws Alice back to her time and time again. Perhaps it's Gabby's
good looks, great ability in bed, and charming arrogance that are responsible
but whatever it is, Gabby is without a doubt the perpetual romantic
thorn in Alice's side.
MISC
ALICE:
Anyone and Alice. Want to see Alice with Shane? Jenny? Carmen? Oh so
deliciously angry Ruth? Or that perfect guy that seems to be absent
from the series itself? That's what this ship is. So let your imagination
go wild and write a fanfic for that ship doesn't quite manage to have
its own very special page yet.
ALL
ALICE:
All Alice is precisely what it sounds like. Fic that focuses on Alice
herself and not her in a romantic relationship as the above categories
do. And since this is a site all about Alice we would love to have some
fanfic focused completely on her even though we do love the romance.
